Just 26 years old, the young chef has been cooking at the Eden Reserve above Gardone Riviera for just over a year. He comes directly from the region, utilising his passion for foods from different countries across the world. From Desenzano del Garda, his profession took him across the globe, working in restaurants in England, France and Cameroon. He calls his experiences there a wonderful and inspiring time for his work, “I only organised and prepared exclusive private dinners and dinners there”. These exclusive dinners led to a collaboration with the embassies of Italy, Russia and Turkey on culinary events, which soon included the Hilton Hotel Yaounde.
Refinement based on simplicity – Italian cuisine reinterpreted
“Simplicity is not trivial” is a guiding principle of the young chef, who explicitly traces his passion for cooking back to his grandmother. His refined culinary creations are by no means at odds with that here. The basis is always the “simple” Italian cuisine that, as Carasi says, so many international guests of Eden Reserve love. He is part of the young generation of chefs around Lake Garda who are taking a new approach to the upscale cuisine that incorporates the roots of the country’s cuisine. In addition to seeking out the best regional products for the dishes, Carasi also focuses on making the best use of resources.

Outdoor kitchen redefined
In one of the Chipperfield villas, the outdoor kitchen theme has also been reinterpreted. On the terrace of the villa under the stylish wooden pergola, up to eight people can sit down for an extraordinary dinner. The beautiful view looks south across the lake to the Isola del Garda and, as a picturesque horizon, to the shore opposite. One of the most beautiful views of the southern lake and its shores.
The special “Alfresco Dining” is prepared on site by the team around Chef Marco Carasi in the outdoor kitchen and served by a discreetly attentive staff. From a tasting menu to Italian barbecue specialities to an extensive aperitif – everything is possible on request and according to the guests’ taste. Each Alfresco Dining is accompanied by a carefully curated selection of local and national wines, and an audio system provides the appropriate musical background on request.
