5 min. reading time

A break at the Eden Reserve Hotel & Villas is a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The excellent accommodation, including the hotel and the exclusive villas on the slope above Gardone Riviera – with one of the most beautiful views of Lake Garda – ensure unrivalled relaxation. The excellent restaurant La Celeste and the exquisite service make a stay at Eden Reserve something truly special.

Design Pop-Up: Tamara Comolli at Eden Reserve

Exclusive shopping for the guests of the Eden Reserve: The new partnership between the fine Munich jewellery brand Tamara Comolli and the Eden Reserve will be on display for the first time on 4 August in the resort’s Celeste restaurant. Until the end of September, selected pieces of jewellery will sparkle in the windows and the façade of this exclusive hideaway. Guests and visitors are invited to experience “effortless luxury”, dolce vita and colourful gemstones up close, and of course, the jewellery can be purchased directly on-site.

Tamara Comolli – Gemstone jewellery reinterpreted

For over 30 years, the name Tamara Comolli has stood for fine jewellery that exudes casual and natural luxury and represents feminine individuality. The designer finds the inspiration for her distinctive pieces in her love of the sea and the luminous colours of gemstones. The façade of the Eden Reserve boutique hotel also shines in shades of blue and green, just like a gemstone reflecting the colours of Lake Garda. The luxury resort’s restaurant, La Celeste, acts as a very fitting display space for the Tamara Comolli artworks, with floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows offering a view of Lake Garda and the cypress trees and showcasing the jewels particularly well. While chef Marco Carasi and his team conjure up typical Italian dishes, guests will enjoy the first Aperol Spritz or selected wines from the region with a view of the jewellery in the showcases on the panorama terrace belonging to the restaurant from 4 August 2023. For those interested in one of these very special pieces, the Eden Reserve team, briefed by Tamara Comolli, is on hand for advice and to help with the purchase.

Shopping in an exclusive holiday atmosphere

Extensive shopping, which has a completely different, almost luxurious status in this holiday atmosphere, is possible not only in the Eden Reserve but all around Lake Garda. Shopping dreams come true in boutiques with well-known names and brands in their sales portfolios in the towns, villages and the region, through larger outlets to regional suppliers of specialities in picturesque shops and markets around the lake.

Salò – Shopping in the most beautiful ambience

Close to the Eden Reserve, Salò is an ideal place to combine shopping and a rewarding sightseeing tour of the beautiful and elegant town on the shores of Lake Garda. The town is very popular with holidaymakers, yet it is by no means overcrowded. In addition to art and culture, Salò also stands for relaxed, upmarket shopping. The small shopping mile, parallel to the lakeside promenade, has a special flair, and you will find many exclusive boutiques offering the latest Italian fashion.

The Scarperia Salò boutique in Piazza Sanelli offers a wide range of brands in the shoe sector for both men and women, ensuring you can find everything from sneakers to highly elegant pumps and other unusual shoe creations. MR Boutique on Via S. Carlo offers exclusive outfits from Armani to Versace and Missoni to Ralph Lauren. The women’s-wear boutique Clan, with its focus on the essentials, is at home in Via Mattia Butturini.

The Piccolo Lord boutique specialises in the needs of a sophisticated young clientele from 0 to 16 years, with brands such as Burberry and Moncler, Tommy Hilfiger, Ermanno Scervino, Hugo Boss or UGG. The shop on Piazza San Carlo is also worth more than just a look from the outside, as the creative shop window design has won numerous prizes and awards over the years. In general, the centre of Salò offers a variety of shops, from the classic boutique to the small shops offering Lake Garda souvenirs or typical regional specialities.

In Brescia, combine city exploration with high-end shopping

Not far from Lake Garda in Brescia, shopping trips are absolutely worthwhile. Again, Brescia is an extraordinarily fascinating city where shopping and city tours can be wonderfully combined. What makes this city steeped in history a real highlight: Brescia, together with Bergamo, is this year’s Italian Capital of Culture of the Year, which is celebrated with many activities and festivals.

The choice of shops and boutiques is huge. Essential shopping streets are Via X Giornate with very renowned jewellery and fashion shops as well as perfumeries. The shopping street Via San Martino della Battaglia is also popular. Shopping fans will also find what they are looking for in Corsetto Sant’Agata, Via Trieste and Via Carlo Cattaneo: Here, historic shops meet young locations with exquisite offers.

Outlet centre in the most beautiful Franciacorta landscape

Outlet shopping is becoming increasingly popular – branded goods in a large selection and often at bargain prices exert a fascination all of their own. The shopping experience is usually sweetened by the opportunity to take a break while shopping in one of the small bars and bistros in the outlet centre with a coffee or a small culinary speciality.

Here, too, Brescia can shine. Franciacorta Village is located just a few kilometres from Brescia on the SP510, which leads through the beautiful Franciacorta landscape to Lake Iseo. Clothing and lifestyle, beauty and living, shoes and sportswear, the selection of brand stores in the Village is large – but is topped, for example, by the outlet centre Mantova Village near Mantua, which features over 100 shops.

Verona – a city full of culture and shopping

Verona is 20 kilometres away from the southern part of Lake Garda by motorway, and the city of Verona is also a dream for shopping tours, which should definitely be combined with sightseeing. There are also interesting shopping opportunities in many of the beautiful towns around Lake Garda, and even big international brands have a flagship store there from time to time.

If you prefer a more exotic shopping experience, the weekly markets are the place to be – there are often interesting and exotic things to discover. Every Friday, you can stroll through the market in Gardone Riviera, and a special antiques market takes place in Desenzano every 1st Sunday of the month (except August). For all vintage & retro fans, we recommend the market in Magugnano, Brenzone sul Garda, which will take place next time on 11 and 25 August, for example.
